This one-day course is intended for all workers in the petroleum industry who could be exposed to hydrogen sulphide (H2S). The primary focus is to provide generic H2S program content to help workers work safely in and around H2S environments. The program covers the physical properties and health hazards of H2S, how to protect oneself and basic rescue techniques. Each student is required to operate a self-contained breathing apparatus and a detector tube device, and to perform CPR and rescue lift and drag exercises. This course in taught by a certified Enform instructor. Upon successful completion of written and practical examinations, the candidate will be issued an H2S Alive certificate, which is valid for three years.
